Sydney: Arina Sabalenka won the women's singles final at the Australian Open Grand Slam tennis series. Having won the title last year as well, Arina Sabalenka won the title for the second year in a row.

Belarus' Aryna Sabalenka and China's Qinwen Zheng advanced to the finals in the women's semi-finals at the Australian Open. Arina Sabalenka, who won her first Australian Open title last year, was expected to win this time as well.

Qinwen Zheng, on the other hand, became the second Chinese to reach a Grand Slam final in the last ten years. Arina Sabalenka easily won in straight sets 6 - 3, 6 - 2 in this match which was held for about 16 minutes.

Qinwen Zheng could not match Arina Sabalenka in any way. He lost in straight sets to reach the final of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time. Arina Sabalenka won her second Australian Open title with this victory.

Even though Qinwen Zheng lost badly, she still looks set to finish in the top 10 of the women's singles tennis rankings to be released at the end of the series. It comforted him.
