Bihar Chief Minister and United Janata Dal (JDU) leader Nitish Kumar is being talked about switching parties again in Bihar. It has been reported that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar may resign from the post of Chief Minister after breaking the alliance with Rashtriya Janata Dal and forming a new government with the support of BJP.

It has been reported that Nitish Kumar may hold a meeting with JTU MLAs at 10 am today, after which he will go to Raj Bhavan and submit his resignation letter to the Governor and form a new government in Bihar with the support of BJP by the evening.

It is said that Nitish Kumar may be sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister of BJP and the post of Assembly Speaker may also come under BJP quota while Nitish Kumar's swearing in ceremony will be attended by BJP President JP Natta and Union Home Minister Amit Shah and many other BJP leaders.

Nitish Kumar will change sides for the second time in 18 months if he resigns as Chief Minister and forms a new government with the BJP. Nitish Kumar formed an alliance with the BJP in the last 2019 parliamentary elections and 2020 assembly elections and came to power.

Noting that in August 2022 Nitish Kumar formed the government in a grand alliance with the Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress, breaking the alliance with the BJP.
