ICC ODIs:
The year 2023 was seen as an important year in ODIs. The reason for that is that the World Cup series for one-day internationals was held only in 2023. The series was held in India amidst great expectations.
In this, the Australian team won the ICC World Cup champion title in the environment where it was expected that the Indian team would win the title. This made the Indian fans sad. But at the same time, the Indian team led by hitman Rohit Sharma played well and was amazing in this series. 10 consecutive wins in that series alone is proof of that.
Captain Rohit Sharma:
In this case, the ICC has released their dream team of the 2023 calendar year with players who have played well in ODIs. Accordingly, the ICC has chosen Rohit Sharma, who is the captain of the Indian team, as the captain of this dream team.
Likewise, Subman Gill, the opener of the Indian team, has also made it. The main reason for this is that Submangil scored 1584 runs last year alone. Australia's Travis Head is third. India's star run machine Virat Kohli has got the fourth spot. He has accumulated 1,377 runs in 2023. New Zealander Darl Mitchell is at the fifth position and South African Henrich Klaasin is at the sixth position. He has been selected as a wicket keeper by the ICC.
Similarly, South African all-rounder Marco Jansen has been selected at the seventh position and Australian player Zamba has been selected at the eighth position. Indian bowler Mohammad Siraj has been selected at ninth position followed by Kuldeep Yadav at tenth position and Mohammed Shami at eleventh position. It is noteworthy that six players from India have been selected in the ICC Dream ODI squad list.
