‘Stray Kids’ will be the first K-pop boy group to appear as headliners at the ‘I-Days’ festival in Milan, Italy and the ‘BST Hyde Park’ festival in London, England.
According to their agency JYP Entertainment on the 31st, Stray Kids will hold 'I Days' at IPPODROMO SNAI in Milan, Italy on July 12th, followed by 'BST Hyde Park' at London's Hyde Park on the 14th of the same month. So, I take on the role of a featured performer.
‘I-Days’ is a festival that started in 1999. Green Day, Liam Gallagher, Blink 182, Justin Bieber, etc. appeared. This year, the legendary band Metallica, Doja Cat, Lana Del Rey, Bring Me The Horizon, and Sum41 will appear. ‘BST Hyde Park’ is also a world-class music festival and is expected to feature a brilliant cast. Last year, ‘Blackpink’ became the first K-pop group to headline.
Stray Kids is sweeping major festivals around the world, including becoming the first K-pop group to headline the French major music festival ‘Lollapalooza Paris’ last year. Recently, they are confirming their true value by attending the ‘Yellow Coin Collection Charity Event (Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes)’ held at the Accor Arena in Paris, France, becoming the first K-pop boy group to do so.
The event was hosted by the French Hospital Foundation ‘Yellow Coin Collection Charity’ (Op?ration pic?ces jaunes), chaired by French First Lady Brigitte Macron. It is held to raise funds to help hospitalized children and adolescents.
Stray Kids' 3rd full-length album '★★★★★(5-STAR)' (Five Star), which ranked first on the US Billboard main chart 'Billboard 200', includes the title song 'Special' and the b-side song 'TOPLINE' (Feat. Tiger). JK)' and performed the hit song 'God's Menu'.
Meanwhile, Stray Kids was nominated in the ‘Group and Duo of the Year’ category at the People’s Choice Awards in the United States, which will be held on February 18. At the ‘2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards’ held on April 1, they were nominated in two categories: ‘K-Pop Artist of the Year’ and ‘K-Pop Song of the Year’.
