Google introduced the ‘Geminii’ app, which allows you to use a generative artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot in the form of a mobile application. Korean language service will be added sometime next week.

Google announced on its official blog on the 8th (local time) that it had changed the name of its generative AI chatbot ‘Bard’ to Gemini and released a mobile app version of Gemini. Google explained, “We have improved accessibility by reflecting users’ requests to use Bard through smartphones.”

For each operating system (OS), Android users can download the Gemini app from the Google Play Store. Apple users can add the Gemini tab within the Google app. First, we plan to start with the English version and then add Korean and Japanese features within the next week.

In addition, Google also introduced ‘Gemini Advanced’, an advanced feature that can be used for a fee in apps and on the web. Google said, “It provides results more optimized for inference, in-depth data analysis, interactive coding, and creative collaboration.” You can use it by signing up for ‘Google One AI Premium’, the highest plan, and paying 29,000 won per month. Users who are already subscribed to ‘Google One’ need to pay an additional $10.

Among global big techs, Microsoft (MS) has released a generative AI app called ‘Co-Pilot’.
