North Korea announced on the 3rd that it conducted a cruise missile super-large combat power test on the 2nd and a test launch of a new anti-aircraft missile.
On this day, the Korean Central News Agency announced, “The Missile General Directorate conducted a cruise missile super-large combat power test and a new anti-aircraft missile test launch in the West Sea of North Korea on February 2.”
He then claimed, “The tests in question are part of the normal activities of the General Directorate and the Agency for Defense Development under its jurisdiction to advance technology in various aspects such as the function, performance, and operation of new weapon systems, and are unrelated to the regional situation.”
He also added, “The tests did not have any negative impact on the safety of neighboring countries.”
The Joint Chiefs of Staff (Joint Chiefs of Staff) announced that it detected an unknown number of cruise missiles launched by North Korea into the West Sea around 11 a.m. on the 2nd.
