Renowned Hollywood actor Richard Lewis has passed away at the age of 76, as reported by Deadline.
Best known for his role as a fictionalized version of himself on the popular comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm, Lewis enjoyed a successful career spanning acting, writing, and comedy.
His extensive credits include notable appearances in productions such as Robin Hood: Men In Tights and Daddy Dearest.
He made a return for the 12th and final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, which premiered earlier this year.
His passing comes within a year of his public announcement of battling Parkinson's disease.
Last April, he disclosed his diagnosis of his disease and declared his retirement from stand-up comedy.
In 2021, Lewis had announced his absence from Season 11 of due to the need for recovery from three surgeries.
