"Until the very end! We keep going—no stopping!" Ronaldo writes on X

Star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has come under fire after making obscene gestures aimed at fans in a Saudi League match between Al Nassr and Al Shabab, Goal reported.

The Portuguese player has reportedly been given a two-match suspension by the Saudi Arabia Football Federation.

On Sunday, during Al Nassr’s match against Al Shabab, Ronaldo helped Al Nassr win by scoring on a penalty.

After the match was over, videos of Ronaldo razzing up the crowd went viral, in which Ronaldo could be seen making obscene gestures towards the crowd as the fans chanted Lionel Messi’s name.

According to Saudi media, via Fox News, Ronaldo has been hit with a two-match suspension for making the X-rated gesture, along with an undisclosed fine.

The Portuguese will now miss Thursday's league fixture against Al-Hazm and could also be absent for Al-Nassr's AFC Champions League quarter-final clash in a week.

This is not the first time Ronaldo has faced backlash over an X-rated gesture.

Ronaldo has not made any comments regarding the issue, but he did post on X, writing, "Until the very end! We keep going — no stopping!"

Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in 2022 in one of the richest transfers in history as he moved over from Manchester United. He reportedly signed a deal worth up to $200 million annually.
