WATCH: Ronaldo smirks as Messi looks concerned after Al Nassar defeats Inter Miami

Al Nassr made an electrifying start to match, with Brazilian player Talisca smashing a hat-trick.

The highly anticipated match titled "The Last Dance" between Christiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr and Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami took place on Thursday.

However, to the disappointment of the fans, Ronaldo was forced to miss the match due to an injury, though he supported his team from the stands, NDTV reported.

The Inter-Miami faced a massive blow after being defeated by their opponents, Al Nassr, 6-0.

Al Nassr made an electrifying start to the match, with Brazilian player Talisca smashing a hat-trick within the opening 12 minutes against the inter-Miami.

At the 24-minute mark, the broadcasters split the screen into two videos, with one side showing Messi, who was sitting on the bench looking concerned, while the other side showed Ronaldo in the VIP lounge, boasting a smug smile when he saw the screen. The video quickly went viral on social media.

Last week, Ronaldo's calf injury forced Al Nassr to postpone their two-game China trip, depriving fans of what may have been his final encounter with longtime adversary Messi.

The pair have won a combined 13 Ballon d'Or awards, with Messi taking home the prize for a record eighth time last year.

Since their early days in football, Messi and Ronaldo have fuelled one of the sport's most iconic rivalries.

Ronaldo's 2008 Ballon d'Or win with Manchester United ignited the competition; over the next nine years, the duo continued to share the Ballon d'Or titles before Croatia's Luka Modric broke the streak in 2018.

In 2009, Ronaldo's move to Real Madrid, the arch-rivals of Messi's FC Barcelona, marked the beginning of an era defined by their thrilling competition.
